Mark joined Prudential in 2014 at Carter Financial, a practice founded by his father in Lynchburg, VA. He graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in finance and holds a Certified Financial Planner® designation from the College for Financial Planning.

Mark’s areas of focus include investment portfolio design and management, risk management, retirement planning strategies, estate planning strategies and business planning strategies. He is considered an ‘Investment Specialist’ for Prudential’s North Carolina Financial Group and regularly speaks at educational seminars to client groups as well as other advisors.

Mark believes that the client’s needs are the priority. Sound communication and complete understanding of the client’s goals and objectives allows our team to effectively deal with many of the financial choices individuals face during their lifetime.

Mark lives an active lifestyle. He played college football while studying at Virginia Tech. He also enjoys - hunting, fishing, and camping. He resides in Charlotte, NC with his wife, Jocelyne and their two boxers, Tyson and Jaxx.

Rob Bacharach

Rob joined Prudential Financial in 2017 as a Financial Advisor. In 2018 co-founded Carter Bacharach Financial Group where he currently acts as the lead Financial Planner. Holds a Series 7 and Series 65 Securities registration and is licensed to advise on investment securities in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Michigan, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Rob also holds the Certified Retirement Planning Counselor® (CRPC) designation.

Obtained Bachelor of Arts in both Business and Communications from Queens University of Charlotte.

Member of the Charlotte chapter of the nationally recognized Financial Planning Association (FPA).

Volunteer with Creative Mornings Charlotte, an organization geared towards promoting creativity and small business in the greater Charlotte area through monthly events, educational seminars, and micro grants.

Rob and his wife Summer live in Huntersville, North Carolina just north of downtown Charlotte. They both are animal lovers and enjoy spending time outdoors with their two dogs. Traveling is their other passion, exploring new cultures any chance they get. Summer is the executive director for a national nonprofit, The Parelli Foundation.

In his free time, Rob helps coach varsity lacrosse at Lake Norman High School and has helped lead his team to 2 state title appearances and one championship victory.


David Carter

David Carter’s mission is to help clients take control of their financial lives, keeping them focused on their goals and objectives through various financial products and services.


With over 35 years of financial experience, David takes great care to identify and understand his clients’ financial goals, assessing risk tolerance and developing an asset allocation strategy. He helps clients structure their portfolios in a tax-efficient manner both before and during retirement. He makes recommendations, and can execute and manage those recommendations, serving as a resource along the way. He sees clients’ portfolios as “living documents”—strategies that need to respond to changing needs. As a client’s financial [advisor] he periodically reviews progress and recommends updates when and where necessary.


A graduate of Emory and Henry College with a degree in Business and Economics, David has called Virginia home since 1975 and is a leader in his community. He and his wife of [35] years, Teresa, have lived in Forest for [35] years, where he volunteers his time and talent in many capacities. He has served his church as Chairman of the Finance Committee, on the Board of Trustees, and by teaching Sunday School. He has also chaired the Jefferson Forest High School Athletic Boosters, coached varsity softball and football, and coached various sports for the Forest Youth Athletic Association. David has been a member and President of the Forest Lions Club, as well as Treasurer of the Forest View Homeowners Association. David and Teresa have two grown children who graduated from local high schools and attended state universities; in fact, son Mark is part of Carter Financial based in Charlotte, North Carolina.


David is not only highly credentialed but is also committed to the continuing education necessary to help stay abreast of industry requirements, regulations and trends. He is a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®)—which entails rigorous coursework, continuing education requirements, and adherence to strict ethical guidelines. He also holds Series 7, 6, 63, and 65 registrations.


Working with David in their Forest, Virginia office is a committed team of professionals ready to respond and assist clients. Whether it’s saving for a major purchase, preparing for retirement or developing a cash reserve for emergencies—or all of the above—David and his team have the experience to help clients achieve their financial goals.



Michele Kuxhausen

Executive Assistant


Michele graduated from Marshall University with both her graduate and undergraduate degree.  She has a master’s degree in Counseling and has extensive experience in the social work field.  Michele has spent 25 years working for social service agencies, mental health, non- profit agencies, and in the hospital setting. Michele has spent the last 13 years working in the adoption field.   She has worked with children and families and has learned to be a strong advocate for them. Michele has always had a special affection and rapport working with people.

As the Senior Marketing Assistant working for Carter Bacharach Financial Group, Michele brings to our team excellent customer service, she is empathetic, compassionate, and she has a strong desire to help others.  Michele handles administrative duties, receptionist duties in the office, and various other administrative tasks. She is the friendly voice that will most likely greet you when you call our office. 

In Michele’s free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, gardening, reading, volunteering, listening to live music, running, mountain biking, hiking, and playing golf.
